Over the last 2 decades, Dr. Angela Chaudhuri has led and mentored global programs that translate the science of public health into meaningful and equitable community action on comprehensive primary healthcare (CPHC) in line with the Astana and Alma-Ata declarations. She has helped countries raise more than a billion dollars for equity-centric health systems programming. Her focus on at-risk adolescents, gender nonbinary groups, people living with HIV and other identities across continents reflects her rallying call of “Leave No One Behind.” In 2021, she led the health response to COVIDActionCollab (now CommunityActionCollab), including designing a multi-disciplinary collaboration platform for disease surveillance called Precision Health, which continues its work on preventing future pandemics.
She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Sciences (Bangalore University), Masters in Public Health (Boston University) and PG Diploma in Journalism (London School). She currently serves as Chief Catalyst at Swasti, a global public health nonprofit focused on adding 100 million healthy days to the lives of marginalized communities by 2030. She also serves on the board of the Catalyst Foundation and Swasti, and 2 committees in WHO: Social Participation Technical Network and WHO’s first ever Civil Society Commission as a Steering Committee member.
