Anton is a distinguished voice renowned for harnessing the power of design to confront some of the continent’s most pressing challenges, including education, economic empowerment, conservation, and climate change. With over a decade’s career in architecture, policy, and urban design, he collaboratively designs buildings, programs, and policies with partners to create better opportunities, particularly for young people across Africa.

Having showcased his expertise at various conferences, notably as a speaker on “Just Transition and Green Growth” at the 2023 BEN Africa Conference. He also delivered a keynote, “Planning for Diversity and Social Inclusion: A Norrsken Case Study,” at the 2023 Transit-oriented Development conference. As Principal at MASS Design Group’s Africa Studio, Anton exemplifies a commitment to inclusive collaboration, leading diverse teams in projects across countries. Since 2012, he has curated an expansive portfolio, transforming education, civic development, workspace design, policy, and affordable housing domains, reflecting his dedication to sustainable and impactful projects.

Among his remarkable achievements is the revitalization of the historic Ecole Belge de Kigali into the Norrsken Kigali House, now the largest entrepreneurial hub in Africa. This pioneering project earned the prestigious 2023 Monocle Design Award for Best Business Campus for Best Business Campus. Furthermore, he led the design efforts for the climate-positive campus of the Rwanda Institute for Conservation Agriculture, an accomplishment honored with the 2023 Landezine International Landscape Award in the campuses and corporate landscapes category.
