Celina de Sola, a native of the Northern Triangle in Central America, possesses a rare combination of profound empathy and strategic vision. As the co-founder and president of Glasswing International, she has been designing programming that helps the youth of some of the most violent countries in the world find their purpose, connect with mentors, and thrive and drive change in their communities and countries (Glasswing now works in over a dozen of them). She is a humble master of public-private partnerships, an Obama fellow, and a TED speaker who has served in conflict and post-disaster zones all over the world.
Bring her in to speak to issues of immigration, youth opportunity and education, and healing from interpersonal, communal, and national violence. The lightness and joy with which she carries herself is a testament to the power of the human spirit, and it is infectious for audiences who have longed for a human take on some of the most heartbreaking global headlines of the last few years.
Addressing social justice isn’t a linear process. We are constantly challenged to step into complexity and nuance with humility, realizing that most of the time we won’t have the answers and we won’t get it all right; we just have to be ok with learning and adapting as we go.
