Jade Begay (Tesuque Pueblo and Diné) is an Indigenous rights and climate justice organizer, strategist, and storyteller who transforms campaigns and narratives into systemic change. Drawing from deep cultural roots, she weaves together ancestral knowledge, movement-building, and national advocacy to protect people and the planet.
As a producer, Jade brought her storytelling skills to the Oscar-nominated documentary Sugarcane, leading impact strategy and a curriculum-rich Rez Tour that brought the film directly to Indigenous communities across North America. On the political front, she served as Native American Engagement Director for the Harris–Walz campaign, launching what tribal advocates called the most expansive tribal organizing effort in U.S. history.
In 2025, Jade co-founded Agency, strategy firm advancing climate and sustainability solutions through indigenous, grassroots, and community leadership. She has also directed global climate justice campaigns at NDN Collective and the Indigenous Environmental Network, where her work mobilized tens of millions of dollars into frontline communities and helped shape federal climate initiatives.
Appointed by President Biden to the inaugural White House Environmental Justice Advisory Council, Jade ensures Indigenous voices are at the center of national climate policy. A Grist 50 honoree and recipient of the Native Power Building Award by IllumiNative, she also serves on the boards of Native Conservancy, Amazon Watch, Evergreen Action, and Resource Media.
Observing [the connection between the health of my community and the lack of infrastructure] throughout my life instilled in me a deep desire to change it, to make sure that my communities (Tribal/Native) have everything they need to live healthy lives and thrive.
