Ebony Underwood

Ebony Underwood is a social entrepreneur, content creator, advocate, and founder/CEO of WE GOT US NOW. The first-of-its-kind national, nonprofit, nonpartisan organization advocating for the well-being of children and young adults impacted by parental incarceration with a mission to engage, educate, elevate, and empower.

As a daughter of an incarcerated parent, Ebony was traumatized and emotionally devastated by her father’s incarceration. Once she began to speak publicly, she combined her lived experience, storytelling and social media advocacy to light a new path.

Narrative change and the Art of Storytelling, The Influential Power of Lived Expertise, The Well-Being of Children with Justice-Impacted Parents

Ebony’s work has been truly explosive in raising awareness and cracking open, minds, hearts, and doorways out of prison and jail, and into rooms of power and influence.
